Mr. Richardson is a resident of St. Louis and a graduate of the University of Missouri. GULTON, INC., AMERICA’S LEADING THERMAL PRINTHEAD MANUFACTURER, EXPANDS CAPACITY WITH THE INSTALLATION OF NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT

August 24, 2015, South Plainfield, New Jersey – Gulton, Inc., America’s leading manufacturer of thermal printheads announced the successful installation of its new state-of-the-art deposition equipment.

Thermal printheads are the essential component for barcode, label and photo printers used in a wide variety of business and personal applications worldwide. While the manufacturers of those printers will gladly replace this critical part for any of their printer models, the cost can often be off-putting.

Gulton, Inc. solves this current challenge for thermal printhead users with compatible printheads designed and manufactured here in the U.S., at their facility in South Plainfield, New Jersey. All Gulton compatible printheads are designed and manufactured to the same specifications as their OEM counterparts, but at a substantially reduced price.

To reinforce Gulton's commitment to manufacturing only the highest quality thermal printheads available on the market, the company has been working on a new manufacturing process over the past 24 months. This new process was conceptualized in the fall of 2013, when new President Michael Sarno was constructing the company’s 3 year plan and saw the potential need for additional capacity in the 3rd year of the plan. Sarno, decided this was a great opportunity to not only add capacity, but to improve the overall manufacturing process.

"Continuous improvement is a necessary cornerstone for Gulton and quite honestly, any business where product quality is paramount." said Sarno. "We identified an opportunity to not only add to the current manufacturing process, but to redefine the process itself." Along with Dr.’s Keith Milkove and Sam Yom, from his Research and Development Department, Sarno, began to marry concept to reality as well as process to project, and less than two years later, the new equipment is now in the NJ plant.

"This is the first major step of our continuous improvement process within our manufacturing facility," Sarno continued. "We have completed several smaller scale projects over the past two years in preparation for this major new equipment introduction. With that said, we still have our work cut out for us as we have two more manufacturing improvement projects scheduled to be completed by year’s end. These projects, when synergized, will put Gulton in a great position to continue to support the strong growth of our loyal customers, coupled with the addition of new business partners."
